a Salon/Spa environment by experienced and qualified instructors.
They will have a comprehensive understanding of the human body
as related to the esthetics and hairdressing industries. Students
will develop the ability to recommend and perform all services

The hairdressing course will include all
facets of wet and dry hairstyling as well as advanced techniques
in up-do's and modern hair extensions. Students will be trained
by qualified hairstylists/instructors, to gain knowledge in advanced
modern color techniques, color correction, creative custom foiling applications,
and hair lightening. Training in texture services includes application of modern
perming, and chemical straightening techniques.

haircutting segment provides the foundationfor modern cutting and
texturing techniques,razor and clipper cutting.
Course Delivery and Objectives: In
class and in the salon. Students will learn on mannequins and clients
throughout the program.Instructor-student ratio: 1 instructor/13
students.
Upon completion of this course, the successfulstudent
will have reliably demonstrated the ability to perform the following:
basic haircuts, perms, colors including foils, wet and dry styling,
recognize scalp diseases and disorders, useproper sanitation procedures
required for the industry, reception duties, sell retail hairstyling
products, have a basic understanding of thesalon business, compile
a portfolio and resume. |

Course |
1000 hours. Approx.
134 classroom theory, 866 practical. Approx. 1-2 hours homework
each night. Tuesday - Saturday • 8:30am - 4:30pm for the duration
of 1000 hours. |
Prerequisites: Grade
12 & 19 years
of age or older.
Dress Expectations: White spa jackets or lab coats, black or white
pants and shoes. Hair must be pulled back.

Students will learn to perform the following
services: facials, manicures, pedicures, massage, body waxing, facial
waxing, lash and brow tints, make-up application and relaxation
massage.
Course Delivery and Objectives: 1.5 hours in
the morning are for classroom theory time. The remainder of the
day, working in the salon while supervised by the instructor.

Upon completion of this course, the
successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:
perform facials for various types of skin, manicures and pedicures;
apply facial make-up; body waxing; identify skin diseases and disorders
and recommend products and treatment for different skin conditions.
Students will be able to perform relaxation massage. They will use
proper sanitization techniques for implements, tools and machines,
as well as basic salon sanitization. Students will compile a portfolio and resume. |

pedicures, artificial nail enhancements including acrylic and gel
nail applications. Students will also develop an awareness of personal
and public hygiene, and sanitation practices in the salon environment. |

enhancements to fingers and toes;

identify nail diseases and disorders; basic use of electric file; client
consultation; salon business. |
